The name of our b&b is inspired by the story of Callimaco's latin poem: Ecale.

The mith narrated in the poem is about one of Teseo's adventures. The hero is going to fight against the monstrous taurus of Maratona; at night he has been hosted by an old woman colled Ecale.

The day after Teseo succeed in the capture of the animal, but when he goes back, he finds the woman dead.In order to express gratitude for the recived hospitality and in honour of her memory, he decides to dedicate a particular cult to Zeus Ecalio, the Protector of Guests.
